Trail Guide Summary
This is a great, but slightly difficult in places hike with the two waterfalls that are located within Chewacla state park.
The trail can be hiked in both directions, but most people start at the pavilion as going the other way would have some very steep grades heading up towards the pavilion.
The trail starts off at the upper pavilion at the sign that says, "Trail to Falls" at which point you will hit a quick hundred foot decent. This part can be a little rough, but isn't too bad.
After hitting the bottom, you will come upon the man made spillway that is one of the falls in the park.
After that, you will turn left and come to a boulder field. Once through the boulder field you will come to the other set of falls which is really more of a cascade, but definitely worth the hike and very peaceful and beautiful.
