Camping and Accommodations

The Park has 24 total campsites available toward the bottom of the canyon. There is also a playground for the kids.

Boating and Fishing

There is both boating and abundant fishing at Buck's Pocket. At Morgan's Cove you will find a secluded lake with Bass fishing as well as a boat launch. And South Sauty Creek has some really great fly fishing.

It's important to note that the rivers and open waters here fluctuate pretty wildly during different seasons and with the amount of recent rainfall. Flooding is fairly normal as well as South Sauty Creek becoming a bit low.

Nature and Scenic Views

This truly is a beautiful State Park. There is a very large canyon that you can hike out of using Point Rock Trail. It's only about a two and a half mile hike up and the view is amazing.

Withing the park you have Sauty Creek witch you can explore by hiking the South Sauty Creek trail. On the trail you will find two waterfalls that, while aren't that big, are very fun to hike to.

In the fall and winter you can also find bald eagles in and around the park often found at point rock overlook and Lake Guntersville.
