Trail Guide Summary
Since opening in the summer of 2004 the Walls of Jericho has seen tens of thousands of visitors. The trail spans from Tennessee to Alabama and has a lot of nature to see and experience in its 21,453 acres. From over a hundred species of fish and forty five types of mussels to many species of song and non-song birds for your viewing and listening pleasure it’s a great hike for any avid nature lover. Also called the Grand Canyon of the South there is a lot to experience in this untouched piece of land. Feel free to bring your horse for a lot of the trail and tie them up or hike it on your own. Don’t forget to look for the rare Tennessee cave salamander while heading to the falls!
